We’re nearly halfway through 2020, and the craziness just keeps on coming, huh? It’s so easy to get anxious and depressed with all that’s going on –– I mean, it literally feels like the world is ending sometimes, doesn’t it? Someone (probably a meme) said that we should be looking at this as a new beginning, rather than the end (Death card, anyone?), and celebrate this new world we’re creating. I thought that was nice and helpful, so I wanted to pass it along to you. Try focusing on manifesting positive change this month (and maybe forever?), and see if that helps you feel better. It’s helped me.
This month, our featured plant is the dandelion! And don’t you dare say “but that’s a weed.” She’s got loads of medicinal and magical benefits, from being packed with vitamins and minerals, to helping with digestive issues, to divination. Every part of dandelions is useful, and I posted a little blog about all the cool shit dandelions have to offer, so check that out. Of course, as always, you’ll find a print for this month’s plant in your box. You’ll also find the jasmine print that should have been in last month’s box. Sorry about that!
I really wanted to focus on the magic of manifestation this month, so that’s what this box has to offer.
First up is an incense blend for manifestation. It’s in a black metal tin, be careful when you open it. Burn this incense on your altar, surrounded by images of what you wish for most. Bonus points if you collect some dandelions from around your yard to adorn your altar. When you light your incense, really focus on what you want, and speak your intention out loud. It’s a simple spell, but the more you do it, the more it works. There’s plenty of incense in your tin for a few uses. A little goes a long way. If you run out of charcoal tablets, you can use one of those little oil burners that has a candle under a dish that usually has fragrance oil in it. You know what I mean? But instead of oil, place the incense on the dish.
I’m going to be real with you. My stomach has been so gross and messed up these past few weeks. I needed a little something to toughen it up, so I wouldn’t be slowed down. So I blended a tea for all of us that’s designed to do just that. Calm stomach, calm heart, clear mind… essential elements to manifesting a better reality. This tea is caffeine-free, but should give you a little pep in your step.
The third thing I brewed up for you is a hand-stamped bracelet! Repetition leads to manifestation, so repeat its message until you believe it every time you see it. I used to be obsessed with “The Secret,” and through it I learned the mantra, “Embody the feeling of the wish fulfilled.” I swear it works. Try it for yourself!
We have two special guests this month because I am a grown-ass woman and I will do whatever I want, you can’t stop me.
These adorable witchy stickers are brought to you by Punch Drunk London (@punchdrunklondon on Instagram). You have to go follow her and see all the adorable shit she makes. She even did Animal Crossing stickers.
And of course, the MAGIC FUCKING WANDS, Y’ALL. These wands are all handmade and 100% unique from Heartwood Wands. I found these guys on Etsy, and they’ve been working on these wands since like, January. I’m seriously so in love with them. I hope you are, too!
And that’s the boxes!!
As always: send me pictures, leave reviews, tell a friend, and fight the power. I’m always on the prowl for more collaborators, so if you know someone, let me know. Also, I’m extending the Foxglove blog to anyone I love with something to say, so if you have poetry or writing you’d like to share, send it my way.
Unrelated to the coven boxes, I’m working on opening a wildlife rescue facility, so be expecting more details on that in the future. I’m working through all the details and legal mumbo jumbo right now. I may need your help spreading the word when it comes time to fundraise?
And just in case you needed a reminder: BLACK LIVES MATTER. Keep supporting black communities by spending money in black-owned businesses, donating to bail funds, and standing up and speaking out. It’s not enough to not be racist. We have to be anti-racist.
Ok, I’m going to stop talking now.
I love you so much!
